These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Noor (“Noor”, “we”, “us”), an Islamic companion app published by Misbah Mushtaq & Muneeb Ur Rehman. By downloading or using Noor, you agree to these Terms. We’ve kept them clear and simple — please take a moment to read through them.
About Noor
Noor helps with prayer times, Qibla direction, the Quran, dhikr, memorization, du‘ās, the Hijri calendar, and related worship tools. It is built to be local-first — you can use the core of the app without an account, and most of your data stays on your device.
Religious content & accuracy
Prayer times, sunrise/sunset, and Qibla direction are calculated estimates based on your location and the calculation method you select; they may differ from your local mosque or moon-sighting authority. Hijri dates are approximate and may vary by a day from official sightings. Where precision matters, please verify with your local authority. Quran, Hadith, and du‘ā content is provided from recognized sources for your personal benefit — Noor is a tool to support your worship, not a substitute for scholarly guidance.
Your account
You may use Noor without an account. If you choose to create one, you are responsible for keeping your access secure and for activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are misused or used in violation of these Terms.
Acceptable use
- Use Noor lawfully and respectfully.
- Do not disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its services.
- Do not use the app to infringe the rights of others or to distribute unlawful content.
Ads & purchases
The free version of Noor displays ads through Google AdMob. You can remove ads with a one-time in-app purchase, processed by the app store’s billing (Google Play Billing on Android, the App Store on iOS). Purchases are subject to that store’s terms, and refunds are handled by the store in line with its policies. We never see or store your payment details.
Intellectual property
The Noor app, its name, design, and original content are owned by the publishers. Religious texts remain attributable to their sources. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Noor for its intended purpose. You may not copy, sell, or redistribute the app or its original content without permission.
Third-party services
Noor relies on third-party services, including Google Play services, Firebase, AdMob & Play Billing and Aladhan for prayer-time calculations. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimers
Noor is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that prayer times, Qibla direction, Hijri dates, or other calculations will be accurate for every location or method.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publishers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Noor. Your use of the app is at your own discretion and risk.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app. Your continued use of Noor after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Termination
You may stop using Noor at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend, discontinue, or modify the app or any of its features at any time.
